The Embassy of Switzerland introduced some significant changes in the visa application process for Switzerland, effective 1 January 2024.
“Starting January 1, 2024, Switzerland will no longer be represented by the Embassy of France in Harare. Instead, all Schengen visa applications for a stay of up to 90 days should be submitted to VFS Global. To schedule appointments, you can contact VFS Global. Processing of visas will commence as from January 3, 2024,” read a statement from the embassy.
Additionally, for national visa applications requiring a stay of more than 90 days, the submissions have to be made at the Regional Consular Centre Southern Africa in Pretoria, South Africa on: https://www.eda.admin.ch/countries/south-africa/en/home/representations/embassy/rcc-southern-africa.html
