With just days remaining before Zimbabwe’s inaugural Young Achievers Awards, organisers say final preparations are underway for what they are promising will be an exquisite evening of celebration, networking and recognition when the curtain rises at the Hyatt Regency Harare on Saturday, 15 August 2026.
The countdown to the ceremony, run by UK registered charity Ekhaya Skills Centre, comes after weeks of sponsorship drives and ticket sales that organisers say have generated strong interest from corporates, diplomats, government officials and members of the public eager to be part of the historic first staging of the awards on Zimbabwean soil.
Organisers confirmed that the event, running from six in the evening until eleven, will unfold as a full gala experience, complete with a three course dinner, entertainment and a red carpet welcome for guests, before attention turns to the presentation of awards across ten categories celebrating young Zimbabweans making their mark in business, agriculture, technology, education, the arts, sport and community leadership.
A spokesperson for the awards said the team was determined to deliver a polished, world class occasion befitting the calibre of achievers being honoured, describing the evening as one designed to leave a lasting impression on everyone in attendance, from finalists and their families to sponsors and dignitaries.
Ticket sales remain open ahead of the date, with individual entry priced at fifty five United States dollars, a half table of five guests at two hundred and sixty dollars, and a full corporate table of ten at five hundred dollars, though organisers reiterated that seating at the venue is limited and encouraged prospective guests to finalize bookings without delay through the official ticketing portal.
The event has already attracted backing from several inaugural sponsors, among them Jan Paul, Eaglemat Insurance, Mudhumeni Mukuru, Ngoto Native Urban Brew Premium Lager and MTM Fleet Maintenance, whose support organisers credit with helping shape an occasion built to national standard from the outset.
Beyond the ceremony itself, organisers say the evening will double as a significant networking opportunity, bringing entrepreneurs, investors, corporate leaders and emerging talent into the same room at a pivotal moment for Zimbabwe’s youth economy.
Members of the media have again been invited to attend, with interview access promised before and during proceedings for those keen to capture the stories behind this year’s finalists, winners and sponsors.
As the countdown to 15 August continues, organisers say the message to Zimbabweans is simple: this is a night worth being part of, marking the start of what they hope will become an annual fixture on the country’s calendar of achievement and celebration.
Prospective guests, sponsors and media houses have been urged to make contact with the organizing team without delay to secure their place at the inaugural ceremony.
