Seed Co has strengthened its commitment to practical learning and youth development by hosting final-year Human Capital Management students from Bindura University of Science Education (BUSE) on an educational tour of its research facilities.

The initiative forms part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) and community empowerment efforts, aimed at exposing students to practical learning opportunities beyond the classroom.

Through its Catch-them-Young programme, Seed Co seeks to nurture young talent and inspire future leaders while promoting sustainable agricultural practices and food security.

The company highlighted the role of its research facilities, including Rattray Arnold Research Station (RARS) and Kadoma Research Centre (KRC), in supporting its engagement with young people and advancing agricultural development.

The educational tour provided an opportunity for the students to engage with the company’s work and gain exposure to the agricultural sector, although further details on the activities undertaken during the visit were not provided.

Seed Co’s engagement with university students comes amid the importance of linking academic training with practical industry experience to prepare graduates for the demands of the workplace.

The Catch-them-Young programme reflects the company’s stated commitment to investing in young people and community development, with a focus on cultivating future leaders and contributing to a sustainable, food-secure future.

Seed Co promotes its role in agricultural development under the slogan “The African Seed Company”, with its work centred on seed development and supporting agricultural productivity.
