Zimbabwe Kids & Teens Models Awards

The 2025 Zimbabwe Kids & Teens Models Awards ceremony concluded over the weekend with resounding success, shining a national spotlight on confidence, creativity, leadership, and excellence among young people. Hosted in a vibrant and supportive atmosphere, the event drew together proud families, educators, community leaders, fashion professionals, and industry stakeholders united by a shared commitment to nurturing Zimbabwe’s next generation of role models within the creative and fashion sectors.

This year’s edition was elevated by the presence of internationally acclaimed Zimbabwean model Yollanda Chimbarami, who attended as Guest of Honor. Chimbarami, a Miss International Africa titleholder and first runner-up at the Miss International pageant, delivered an inspiring address that emphasized discipline, mentorship, and self-belief as cornerstones of success. Her journey from local platforms to international stages resonated strongly with young participants and their parents, reinforcing the belief that global achievement is possible with dedication and strong values.

Beyond celebrating young talent, the 2025 awards also highlighted the often-unsung role of parents in fostering creativity and confidence. Ms Deleen Masawi Kaseke was presented with a special recognition award for her exceptional dedication and unwavering support of emerging talent. Organizers noted that behind every confident child stands a support system that believes deeply, sacrifices consistently, and nurtures growth patiently.

The most anticipated moment of the evening was the announcement of the Overall Model of the Year. Ngoni Sanchez Mpofu claimed the coveted title after consistently demonstrating excellence, confidence, and professionalism throughout the competition. Yamikani Marasha and Tammar Muchineuta were named runners-up, following impressive performances across multiple categories.

Other category winners included Liam Matonsi Dube, Lennox Kartel Mhlanga, Ruach Mlambo, Ryan Fengu, and Nathan Sithole, each recognized for distinct skills, discipline, and dedication. The celebration also embraced the youngest talents, with baby and toddler models Ethan and Tiyamike Marasha earning awards alongside their older siblings Tehillah and Yamikani, a touching reminder that confidence and creativity can be nurtured from an early age.

Midway through the ceremony, organizers reaffirmed the vision behind the platform. One organizer stated plainly, “Beyond the trophies and certificates, this initiative exists to build character, confidence, and opportunity for children across Zimbabwe.”

In a separate address, another organizer emphasized the broader mission:
“We prioritize holistic development, ensuring that young people grow into disciplined, self-assured, and responsible adults, not just successful models.”

They further expressed gratitude to nominees, parents, guardians, schools, partners, and supporters, noting that collective trust and collaboration continue to make the platform impactful. As the curtain closed on the 2025 edition, the awards stood as a powerful testament to a growing movement shaping confident, motivated young Zimbabweans ready to positively influence their communities and beyond.
