Jacaranda Music Festival Delivers An Enchanting Weekend

Held at Thorn Park Polo Grounds in Harare, Zimbabwe, from October 3 to 5, the Jacaranda Music Festival 2025 was a colorful celebration of community, culture, and music. With support from BET Africa, the British Council Zimbabwe, and other partners, the event attracted music enthusiasts from all around the area with its varied list of performers.

An excellent lineup that set the tone for the weekend kicked off the festival on Friday night. DJ Spunj and DJ Sox thrilled the audience with their great sets, leaving them excited for the upcoming performers. Jazzworx & Thukuthela, who performed a mix of jazz and electronic music that resonated with the audience, and Madeherbelieve, whose distinct sound captivated the audience, were also featured on the evening. The debut evening showcased the festival’s commitment to presenting both domestic and international performers. ExQ featuring DJ Tamuka was as always a sensation  purely crafted for such a prestigious stage. Khamo Mpela also left an endless memory with her striking performance.

The Sunday line up was nothing short of extraordinary, including some of the festival’s most anticipated performances. Noluntu J and DJ Spunj kicked out the day with compelling performances that warmed up the crowd. Agga Nyabinde, the great Zimbabwean singer, followed with a performance that displayed his timeless brilliance and profound connection to the origins of Zimbabwean music. The Soil were the evening’s standout performers, with their perfect blend of acapella and Afro-soul captivating the audience and delivering an unforgettable experience. DJ Lamiez Holworthy left everyone stunned and others shouted that the organizers should bring her back to the Carpe Diem which is an all dj show. She was one of the best entertainers at the festival on the decks.

DJ Tira, the South African music superstar, capped the festival with an amazing set that kept the crowd jumping to the end of the show. The Sunday performances truly brought the festival to a close, leaving attendees with unforgettable memories and already looking forward to the 2026 festival.

Beyond the music, the Jacaranda Music Festival provided an opportunity for cultural exchange and professional development. The event included a two-day music business conference, which gave local musicians vital insights into the music industry. As the Jacaranda Music Festival 2025 came to a close, both organizers and participants reminisced on a weekend of amazing music, cultural exchange, and community spirit.
