The citizens bracing for a spectacular three-day celebration as the Love Zimbabwe Festival kicks off from friday 26 to sunday 28 September at the Zimbabwe Grounds in Highfield. Headlined by Evangelist Andrew Palau and supported by the Luis Palau Association (LPA) in partnership with Zimbabwe’s leading church mother bodies, the event will be about faith fun, family, and unforgettable entertainment.
The festival promises to turn Harare into a hub of excitement, with world-class action sports, high-energy concerts, and interactive family zones as all christians and non believers are brought together in one arena.
“Audiences can expect jaw-dropping stunts from professional BMX and FMX riders, delivering adrenaline-charged performances never before seen on this scale in Zimbabwe,” said Andrew Palau at a press briefing at Rainbow Towers.
“For younger fans, a children’s fun zone will provide a safe and exciting space filled with games, laughter, and adventure,” he added.
Music lovers are in for a treat with a star-studded line-up of over 22 international and local acts. Nigerian gospel sensation Ada Ehi will share the stage with some of Zimbabwe’s finest, including Tembalami Praise, Tatnda Mahachi, Michael Mahendere, Takesure Zamar, Janet Manyowa, Mathias Mhere, Docas Moyo, Tembalami, Ellard and Sharon Cherayi, Blessing Jeduthun, and Baba Harare. From high-energy praise to soulful worship, the festival will showcase the best of gospel music, blending traditional, contemporary, and Afro-fusion styles.
“The Love Zimbabwe Festival is different from the usual crusades it’s a cultural experience where people are going to have a good time,” said Bishop Mavis Gurupira. “It comes at a time when young people are searching for positive outlets. With music, sports, and entertainment, this festival gives them a chance to discover both joy and purpose.”
The entertainment-packed program is designed to appeal to all ages. Families can spend the day together enjoying rides, performances, and a vibrant festival atmosphere, before gathering for uplifting evening concerts. “This is an opportunity for Zimbabweans to celebrate life, love, and unity across all denominations,” added Reverend Wilfred Dimingu.
With thousands expected and organizers aiming to reach 200,000 people, the Love Zimbabwe Festival is shaping up to be the country’s biggest faith-and-fun event of 2025 blending international-standard entertainment with a powerful message of hope.
On top of that they are also holding eye clinics around Harare and Chitungwiza where more than 12 000 reading glasses are being distributed free of charge.
