Cimas Health Group has reaffirmed its commitment to community wellness after delivering a powerful message at the launch of the Bonaqua Africa Triathlon Cup and Multi-sport Festival Troutbeck 2026, held on February 17 at Holiday Inn Harare ahead of what is expected to be one of Zimbabwe’s biggest endurance sports showcases.

Speaking at the launch, Cimas Health Group Chief Marketing Officer, Manatsa Gaka, said the partnership between Cimas Health Group and Bonaqua is driven by a shared vision to promote healthier lifestyles through sport. He explained that Cimas exists for one simple but powerful purpose: to inspire healthier communities — a mission that goes beyond hospitals, clinics, and policies to everyday life choices.

Gaka said the Bonaqua Africa Triathlon Cup represents everything Cimas stands for, including endurance, balance, mental strength, and physical wellness. “Health is not an event, but a lifelong commitment. When brands with shared values come together, the impact goes far beyond visibility — it shapes behaviour, inspires action, and normalizes healthy choices,” he said.

With a legacy spanning over 80 years, Cimas Health Group is evolving from a traditional healthcare funder to a proactive wellness champion. Through its iGo wellness division and growing digital health solutions, the organisation is investing in prevention and empowering people to take charge of their wellbeing before illness strikes.

The 2026 edition of the Bonaqua Africa Triathlon Cup and Multisport Festival will take place on March 14 at Troutbeck Resort, marking the 12th edition of the prestigious event. The competition is sanctioned by Africa Triathlon and World Triathlon, and awards world ranking points that contribute to Olympic qualification for elite competitors.

The standard triathlon distance features a 1 500-metre swim, the longest pool distance swum at the Olympic Games, followed by a 40-kilometre cycle, once the standard Olympic time-trial distance, and a 10-kilometre run, the longest track event in Olympic athletics. The race is staged as one continuous event in the traditional order of swimming, cycling, and running.

Beyond the elite Africa Cup races, the festival will include the Zimbabwe Triathlon Championships, African Cross-Triathlon (off-road) Championships, Tri-Kidz and Trisports races, the Cimas Corporate Triathlon Challenge, Aquathlon (run-swim-run), and an Open Water Swim, making it a truly inclusive sporting celebration.

Gaka praised the event organisers and partners for creating a platform that celebrates health in motion and encourages communities to embrace wellness. He concluded by reminding all present that the best investment anyone can ever make is in their health, adding that Cimas Health Group is proud to be part of the journey toward a fitter, stronger, and more resilient Zimbabwe.
