Masvingo is gearing up for one of the most electrifying youth gatherings on the religious calendar as the Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) in Zimbabwe prepares to host its landmark National Youth Elevation Conference from 9 to 12 April 2026 at Rufaro Conference Centre in Chatsworth.

Dubbed “A Generation on the Rise,” the conference is expected to attract more than 100,000 young people from across the country and beyond, transforming the quiet Masvingo district into a hub of spiritual revival, empowerment, and youthful energy. The event is already generating excitement among youth and adults, with many anticipating a life-changing encounter.

Leading the charge is AFM in Zimbabwe President, Amon D. Madawo, who has passionately called on young people to “do it again this year,” raising expectations for a powerful move of God marked by transformation, healing, and renewed purpose. His message has resonated widely, igniting anticipation across congregations nationwide.

The conference will feature a dynamic lineup of preachers, each bringing a unique voice to the pulpit. Among them is B. Shonhiwa, the National Youth Leader credited with driving the Elevation movement, alongside Thandanani Savhasa from South Africa, known for her impactful teachings on leadership and spiritual growth. R. B. Matewe has also invited all young people to come spiritually prepared for a tangible encounter.

Beyond preaching, the conference promises an unforgettable worship experience, featuring some of the biggest names in gospel music. Celebrated group Zimpraise Choir will headline a special Zimpraise Legacy Night as they mark 20 years of ministry. International gospel artist Takesure Zamar Ncube is set to lead powerful worship sessions, alongside the vibrant Joyful Praise Choir.

Adding a regional touch is South African worship sensation Sbu Noah, whose soulful sound is expected to elevate the atmosphere. The lineup also includes Unveiled, Worshipper L Gunda, Nyasha Mutonhori, Baba and Mai Cherai, Vabati VaJehova, and Wesley Nyamukuta, ensuring a rich and diverse musical experience.

However, the conference is not just about spiritual upliftment. In a strong show of social responsibility, attendees will be encouraged to contribute towards the Rufaro Clinic building project, an initiative spearheaded by the Youth Department to enhance healthcare access in the region.

In addition, specialized sessions focusing on leadership, entrepreneurship, and academic excellence will equip young people with practical tools for success beyond the church walls. Organizers say the goal is to raise a generation that is not only spiritually grounded but also economically and intellectually empowered.

As anticipation builds, the AFM National Youth Elevation Conference is shaping up to be an event and a movement poised to inspire, transform, and redefine the future of Zimbabwe’s youth.
